West Chesterfield, NH: Pete’s Tire Barns, Inc, recently held a food drive for Joan’s Pantry in West Chesterfield, NH with an open house and Indy Car demonstration on Friday August 8, 2014. The purpose of this drive was to collect much needed food for use by families in West Chesterfield and the surrounding communities. Pete’s Tire Barns was able to work with Alliance Tire and the local community to collect an entire pickup bed full of food. This included cases of canned vegetables, pasta, peanut butter, baby food and more. Joan’s Pantry told Pete’s Tire Barns this was the largest single donation of food they had received. Hundreds of people came out to support the food pantry and to see the indy care demonstration and to win. Pete’s Tire Barns wanted this event to be such big success for the food pantry that they rewarded one lucky person who donated to the food pantry an Apple Ipod Nano and Itunes gift card. Hundreds of cans of food were collected and Pete’s Tire Barns was proud to deliver all of the great food donations to Joan’s Pantry.

Pete’s Tire Barns Launches “Green” Tire Sales and Service Center

West Chesterfield, NH: Pete’s Tire Barns, Inc, recently announced the opening of their brand new “green” tire store in West Chesterfield, NH with an open house and ribbon cutting ceremony Friday August 8, 2014. This new state of the art tire sales and service center features many “green” technologies including geothermal heating and cooling. This allows the buildings temperature to be controlled all without the use of fossil fuels. The building also features long life LED light fixtures that automatically dim to save energy by monitoring the available natural light and only coming on bright enough to supplement it. Future plans include solar panels, solartube lighting and waste heat recapture to heat domestic hot water.

In addition to the low energy use building, this location will feature a propane powered tire service truck. The US Department of Energy reports that “Using propane as a vehicle fuel increases energy security, provides convenience and performance benefits, and improves public health and the environment.”

Pete’s Tire Barns President Peter Gerry told the representatives on hand at the ribbon cutting ceremony that “this building was designed from the ground up to be energy net plus, meaning eventually we will produce more power then we consume”. This new location features four passenger and light truck tire service bays, three commercial tire service bays and a heavy duty alignment machine. With a foot print over 12,000 sq. feet, Pete’s is able to stock tires for all sizes of equipment from the smallest hand truck to the largest earthmover and everything in between.
