Monster Truck Event Collects Food and Money for Food Bank

Pete’s Tire Barns in cooperation with Walmart of Northampton and Big Lots to collect food for the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts.

Northampton, MA : On Friday September 3rd 2010 the monster trucks descended on Northampton with one purpose. That purpose was to kick off Hunger Action month with a food drive for the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts. The Fill the Monster Truck food drive offered a unique opportunity for people to bring in can goods and receive a diecast monster truck courtesy of Pete’s Tire Barns. Thanks to the generous support of Walmart and Big Lots who not only gave up their parking lot for the event, they also passed out flyers, collected donations and delivered multiple shopping carts of donated food. The Bigfoot Monster Truck driver was on hand to sign autographs, take pictures and talk about what is like to drive a monster truck. Over 450 autographs were given out and the amount of food that was collected was so large it required a forklift to load it into the back of food bank truck. Pete’s Tire Barns would like to thank Walmart and Big Lots for their support of the Fill the Monster Truck food drive for the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts.
